शिरोमणि अकाली दल के अध्यक्ष सुखबीर सिंह बादल ने आज पार्टी की कोर कमेटी के सदस्य और पूर्व मुख्य संसदीय सचिव विरसा सिंह वल्टोहा को खडूर साहिब लोकसभा क्षेत्र के लिए उम्मीदवार घोषित किया। इस घोषणा के साथ ही पार्टी ने पंजाब और चंडीगढ़ की सभी 14 सीटों पर पार्टी के उम्मीदवार उतार दिए हैं।
